Sunday, October 3rd
A Stockton family, the Pierce’s hosted the 12th annual Civil War reenactment on their farm. We had lunch there, watched a fashion show, observed a battle, and winced through the medical treatment display following the battle.

Friday, Sept. 30th
Ellen’s high school friend, Connie, drove the senior homecoming attendants in her mustang in the homecoming parade. She invited Ellen to ride with her. Roger spent the parade at the Corner Top with another of Ellen’s high school friends, Lynette. After the game, Dick and Lynette came to our campsite for a bonfire.

Saturday, September 18th
After we left Monroe Cheese days, we went to Dakota, Illinois, to watch two of Ellen’s great nephews (Odell and Maverick) play little-kid football. Their sister, Iris, was also cheering at the event. After the football games, we went to Ellen’s brother and sister-in-law’s (Ryan and Lana’s) timber for a bonfire. Over the last few years, Ryan and Lana have been clearing their timber to make it more useful.
