We spent Tuesday night in a campground just outside of Paso Robles, California. On Wednesday, June 30th, we visited Hearst Castle in San Simeon, California. On the way to the castle, we stopped at Cambria, California after which one of our daughter Rebecca’s college roommates was named. We had known for years that Cambria was named after a city in California, so it was fun to happen upon the town. The Hearst castle was stunning. The lavish rooms and amazing art collections were mind boggling when viewed as the decorations of a private residence.
