Ruby Inn Campground Near Bryce Canyon

From Saturday, July 17th through Tuesday morning, July 20th, we were in the Ruby Inn Campground near Bryce Canyon. The facility included a motel, restaurant, general store, ice cream store, horseback riding, shuttles through the Canyon, and other assorted amenities.

The campground itself was so large that it had over 100 tent sites, over 150 RV sites, nine teepees to rent, and five cabins to rent. The tent sites included several group areas with a circle of tents and a center area. These group areas were each filled with groups of kids and some adults. And, despite being so large, the whole campground was full. So, it was quite a busy place.

One thing it did not have was any type of a bar. Instead the only alcohol on the facility was sold from an 8x8 space known as the state liquor store. If we would have chosen to, we could have bought some alcohol there and enjoyed it in the restaurant with a meal or taken it back to our RVs. Unusual situation!

Along with our typical happy hours and meals at our RVs, we also had a couple of campfires here, which were a lot of fun. At the last campground (near the Grand Canyon), it was too warm for campfires. But, it cooled off more each night here.
