Madison, Minnesota

Sunday, August 15th through Wednesday, August 16th

We drove through the windy prairies to visit my niece, Jennifer, and her family. Her family includes 4 1/2 children and her husband, Mark (Even though he escaped the pictures since he was at work). They live on a wonderful piece of land in the country about one mile from the small town of Madison, Minnesota. We enjoyed spending time watching the kids play in so many creative ways!

Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Saturday, August 14th through Sunday, August 15th

We initially planned our Sioux Falls stop to visit Roger’s high school wrestling coach. But, it turned out that he was out of town on the day we were passing through. We stopped anyhow and enjoyed seeing the gorgeous Sioux Falls falls (including a wedding photo shoot) and taking the trolley trip from the falls through downtown. About two weeks ago, Sioux Falls had a major sewer line break. To keep the sewage out of people’s homes, it is being diverted to the river. So, the river was roped off and labeled as a bio hazard. Consequently, we could not get as close to the falls as usual. Surprisingly, despite the problems, the falls were gorgeous anyhow!

The small tent picture was at our campground (Sioux Falls KOA). It is a motorcycle trailer that folds out into an amazingly spacious tent.
